There are abandoned development projects here in Malaysia, which is an eyesore, and also a health hazard. Rain accumulates in these abandoned projects, which breeds mosquitoes. It is also a waste of perfectly usable land, and a waste of building materials.
- How about we refurbish these abandoned buildings and use them to rear livestock, do aqua farming, and to grow crops? All farming is done just on the ground nowadays. We have high-rise condominiums for people to live in, why not also have high-rise buildings for rearing livestock, for aqua farming, and for growing crops?
This could be one way to increase the total amount of arable land for the nation, and for the world, and would reduce the need for us to clear forests for growing crops. This would help to reduce our human footprint that taxes the earth resources.
Have transparent/translucent plastic pipes to divert natural sunlight into these buildings.
